My Project

The Ninja Life Hacks books will help me teach life skills to my little learners in a fun engaging way. Each book teaches an important lesson on social emotional skills. These can be used for a whole group, or taught in isolation for a student needing more support in this area. As a Kindergarten teacher, I can tell you, that all of my kids in my class would want to be a ninja. Using these characters will engage my kids to want those skills too. Having such a large variety of books will really reach individual needs of all my learners for years to come.

My students will build compassion for others by understanding how other people view the world, and how they can support themselves and others.

Many of the books will support students' empathy, compassion, emotional awareness, and problem solving skills. The book "Compassionate Ninja" included in this set teaches about how to be compassionate for others! This means that my students will learn how to recognize other peoples emotions, and support them to feel better! Learning these skills in kindergarten will help them grow into kind and compassionate adults. All of these books will help them build these big life skills in an age appropriate way. Building their own emotional awareness and problem skills, will allow for them to help themselves and hopefully share their skills with others.

I will use these in my special education classroom to reteach skills like compassion. I'll assess their learning by having them decribe how they can be compassionate to others. I'm excited to have a tool that is specific to each need with some adorable ninjas that will excite my students! Please help me build a classroom full of little learners with some really big life skills!
