My Project

High school students are still kids! They enjoy being comfortable and value a warm classroom experience. I attempt to always give my students care when they are in my classroom. School isn't always easy for every student, and motivation can tend to fall at the wayside. Having the option of where to sit can encourage students to work and be more engaged in the class.

With these flexible seating options, my students will have more choice in class and will feel more comfortable to truly focus on the work at hand!

My students currently have very slim choices of flexible seating, such as sitting on the floor or rugs to complete their work or standing at the side of the room and using the built-in shelf for a work surface. Bean bag chairs and lap desks will allow for a cleaner and more comfortable option for students who enjoy sitting on the floor for work, or who are uncomfortable in the rigid provided desks. The tall tables and chairs will help students who prefer to stand during lessons and provide a taller view of the front for students who need it! I know that if my students receive these items, it will positively change their educational experience in my classroom!
