This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Earth Day is right around the corner! What an excellent opportunity to share the importance of reading about Planet Earth and Climate Change with my students. The books I am requesting will teach my students about Earth and issues that affect our environment, like climate change. These picture books will help guide discussions and facilitate learning.

Providing these books to my students on the environment, climate, and earth will help them understand the roles that each of us has as stewards while assisting them in building their reading and listening skills.

These books will be read in class during small group time, allowing each student to answer questions about the earth and their role in helping to take care of it.
