This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

By donating to this project you will be giving students incentives to compete in a friendly competition. The students will be participating in a middle school basketball tournament. You will be providing the prizes for the students! My boys are passionate, full of personality, and have tremendous potential. Their salvation from the streets is basketball.

It builds brotherhood, perseverance, and balance through basketball.

They use basketball as an outlet to connect to their fellow boys.

These donations for this project will help purchase basketball items to make our team successful. High school basketball players will coach the middle school boys in weekly games.

My scholars are so motivated and eager to learn. Despite their circumstances, they are in school everyday ready to take on the challenges. “These students face income inequality that challenges them to find the opportunity for a positive mindset. They wake up every day with a “can-do attitude and make a plan,” even though they are faced with barriers to education, family composition, and society.
