Help me give my students big stools so that they can develop big brains.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is full of community, conversation, and mutual learning. To help create this community of learning, flexible seating has become essential. By removing the cumbersome student desk and creating a more comfortable and flowing environment, the students are able to freely interact with each other. They assist each other, learn from each other, and engage in conversation about the lesson. It has has allowed for the free-flow of ideas, students are learning to think in a non-linear fashion, and making connections between the various topics that we learn about.
These four stools will be used at a tall table that we acquired from a parent donation.
It will allow students to sit together, interact, and learn from each other. The students are excited to use this table but we need big stools to help them build their big brains.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
