This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting the purchase of a set of Big Books for our Pre-K classroom. These oversized, illustrated books are essential for whole-group read-alouds and interactive literacy development. They support early reading skills, language development, classroom engagement, and group participation.

These Big Books, along with the interactive materials, will make story time engaging and interactive.

The storage cart, magnetic letters and markers will add an additional resource with the books. Students can interact with the books by finding letters, writing words from the books, and retelling the stories.

There is something special about laying on the carpet with a friend and flipping through the oversized pages of a book.
