This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students who I work with are creative, joyful, and eager to learn. They bring enthusiasm and curiosity to all activities. They are very grateful and excited when they have new materials that help them learn. Their smiles are contagious!

My Project

This project will help my students learn social and emotional skills through the use of literature. The themes covered in these books promote positive social skills, self-regulation and having a growth mindset. I know that using books helps students learn these skills in an exciting and age-appropriate manner. Specifically, these books will help students develop social skills such as sharing, listening, and patience. Kids and adults are always working on ways to improve their self-regulation and these books will help my students do just that! I cannot wait to share these new and exciting books with our youngest learners.
