Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are scientists, mathematicians, readers and authors, creators and explorers, and they make discoveries each and every day. Because my students are budding world leaders and world changers of tomorrow, they need literature resources that will help teach them 21st Century skills like kindness, empathy, and compassion.
My goal is to expose students to as many learning opportunities as possible that will prepare them for the future, all while bringing to the forefront ideas and concepts that they may not have considered or been exposed to before.
We maximize individual potential and ensure that our students succeed in a global community.
My school is a place filled with family and friends. We welcome, teach, and support families from around the world, military families, and those that have called our little city home for generations. Not only do we serve and have families that entrust us with their children, we have our own family. This close-knit group includes our classroom families, our school community, and our family of educators that all work together to create a learning environment that is unique and invaluable.
My Project
Our students need picnic tables that will allow us to collaboratively complete STEM and science labs outside of our classrooms. Due to the fact that our campus does not have a science lab, we often work outside on our patios. These picnic tables will also be used by students during lunches and recess, as well as other class times.
Having picnic tables available in this space would allow greater flexibility for students to move, learn, and grow.
These spaces will allow our students to expand their horizons beyond the constraints of our classroom walls. Their addition will give is room to grow.
