Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth graders love it when we have Station Rotations. Our class is divided into four groups, and students travel with their groups to the Listening, Writing, Technology, and Reading Stations.

Students meet with me in small groups at the Reading Station, and it is often necessary for us to use a whiteboard during lessons.

I currently use a student whiteboard, which is very small and difficult for everyone to see. I am requesting a tabletop teaching easel, and this larger board will allow my students and me to write on it so all may see. It also has a storage pocket on the back, which will keep necessary supplies readily available.

I am also requesting privacy folders for desktops so that we may use these during state testing and students will be less distracted by their neighbors, storage bins for supplies, felt tip pens for art, and some books to further our research for the solar eclipse in April.

Thank you very much for making time to read our project, and for any assistance you are able to offer to bring “Better with Toppings” to life. These tabletop easel and desktop privacy folders will make our class better with ‘toppings’ and more efficient for all. Thank you, again—I am so grateful for your help!
