Better Than a View Finder

Help me give my students virtual reality headsets for a realistic view of the world they have only read about.

My Students

Our school system is focused on our children, our community, and our future. We strive to provide an outstanding curriculum, superb faculty and staff, award-winning programs, dedicated athletic and academic teams, and a vibrant community that supports the school system.

Most of our students come from low-income families.

With that being said, their exposure to technology, other than phones, is very limited. I teach six hours of STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Through my class, I try to give students a head start to being successful adults.

My Project

The ReTrak Utopia 360° will help my students experience the world. With this technology, the students can take a tour of anything in the world. They can do surgeries, visit the Great Wall of China, go to outer space, and even visit dinosaurs.

Many times, if the lesson isn't real to a student, then it is harder for them to care.

When the science teacher is talking about the nervous system, the students can actually see the nervous system and not just a picture. When the history teacher is talking about the Eiffel Tower, the students can actually see it and it not just a picture.
