Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Currently, I am an Interventionist. I help students who are struggling in Reading. Normally, my students have been retained or are working below grade level.
At risk students who need motivation to help them advance in Reading so they succeed academically and socially as well as building self esteem.
My students are from Kindergarten to fifth grade—with special needs like speaking English as a second language or having a learning disability. They need to have intervention in order to be promoted to the next grade or to be retained. So, they are kids that are at risk. They need creative ways of helping them learn and keeping them engaged and motivated.
My Project
Many students are used to using tablets at home. So, they are used to using their fingers to click and point on stuff. As an interventionist, I work with students ranging from grades K to 5 on a daily basis. This device will help me not only monitor what they are doing in class but it can used by the students to complete lessons and assessments. This can also be used for one on one instruction and tutoring with a student. I know that it was be great help for my class.
