Help me give my students necessary materials such as headphones, whiteboards, and pencil boxes among other things that they will use daily in our classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are children of essential workers who have limited funds to buy school supplies for this coming school year.
I would like for them to learn Reading, Writing, and Math amongst other things in a close to normal environment as possible.
This will be their first time attending school since their kindergarten experience was spent in front of the computer doing zoom.
This is the grade where they have to gain good phonemic skills in order to be better readers and writers in 2nd grade. I am so excited to give them a better school experience!
My Project
It will be BETTER this school year! Help me equip my first grade students handle this year stress-free. Their kindergarten year was spent at home last year. This time, we will be all in-person with masks on and more interaction.
I am requesting for classroom necessities like pencil boxes, notebooks, crayons, white boards, white board erasers, and headphones that they will be using daily in our classroom.
The pencil boxes will help them organize their desks and will save them time searching for things. The headphones will be placed individually in clear bags so that they can have their own with easy access. Also, the emotion and diversity books will guide them to interact with each other better.
These materials will assist my kids in their quest for learning to read so they can read to learn later.
