This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are my inspiration. They are generous, they are deep thinkers, they are funny, and they are intellectually curious. They come from all sorts of backgrounds, family contexts, and home countries. And they come together to form a beautiful and inspiring community of reflective, compassionate, innovative, and driven young people.
I started crying while writing my last round of recommendations because these teenagers truly are the most incredible people I know.
They ask fascinating questions, and they love to learn. They think critically, and they love their communities deeply and self-sacrificially. When I remember that they are the future of this country, I know we are all going to be ok.
My Project
As we return to the school building during this current Omicron surge, I want to do my part to keep my students, my coworkers, myself, and all of our families as safe as possible.
Re-entering the building with plenty of good masks will allow me to offer the best protection I can to my students.
In an effort to keep our communities safe and avoid a return to Zoom school, we'll all be doing our best to limit the spread in our classrooms. These masks will go a long way in my effort to do so!
