Help me give my students headphones to access their virtual lessons and activities. These headphones will help our extraordinary learners obtain a quieter classroom for better learning, minimize distractions, and help students stay focused.
My students are resilient! We define resilience in our classroom as always trying our best! Our school is centrally located in a low-income neighborhood of Brownsville, where educational resources are not always available to our students. However, my students don't let their environment or labels define their education or potential.
Many of my have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school.
Our classes serve students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning disabilities.
In our students’ eyes, we are ‘Superheroes’. ‘Everyday Heroes’ who miraculously are expected to transform and reshape cognitive minds in the classroom. Your help in donating to this project is greatly appreciated!
My Project
Creating a great classroom experience for our students means having the right technology on hand. How do headphones help? It encourages our students to be focused and engaged. Our students have proven to remain resilient with the new virtual learning expectations in this new norm of learning. They are required to log on Zoom, assess for diagnostic testing, and participate in content activities.
Having headphones in the classroom is not only helpful for the learning environment, but essentially aid a struggling child to simply perform their best.
Having these headphones will help our time in the classroom a more enjoyable and positive experience; our students deserve this opportunity.
