Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 5th graders that are eager to learn, and come to school with a multitude of incredible ideas! They are up for any academic challenge .They are kind and caring and watching them learn makes my heart full! We’re a team!

This is a big year for my 5th grade class and I feel extremely blessed, as I have moved grade levels and I will have the opportunity to teach some of my 4th graders, this year in 5th grade.

Many of them are longing to get back to school to see friends and teachers too. I want this year, the year they culminate to be one full of fun memories and good times spent learning in a comfortable classroom environment.

My Project

The flexible seating with large comfy pillows and the Comfy floor seats will allow my students to make a choice as to where they would like to do they reading and writing while they are in the classroom. When students are in a more relaxed comfortable state they can access multitudes of creativity, as well as overall enjoyment in partaking in their work. The more comfort I can provide for my students during their learning time, the more opportunities I can provide them to maximize their learning time.

These flexible comfortable seating options will also help my 5th graders easy back into the school day as the pandemic has forced many students to be away from school for a very long time, Additionally, the flexible seating is very easy to move around the room so it allows me to follow all Covid 19 protocols put in place regarding social distancing.
