Help me give my students exciting new books to expand our classroom library!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Stadler's classroom raised $345

My Students
My students are a group of highly energetic, amazing children with Autism in grades 1-5. Many students with Autism have difficulty learning and retaining new information. These difficulties are often compounded by the sensory overload that they experience daily. Many of my kids also have communication delays and need a calm, quiet place to take a break. I teach at a public elementary school with a high poverty rate. All of my kids have excellent attendance and really want to learn!
My Project
In my classroom, I strive to create a love of reading. I am requesting new books for independent reading and storytime. I LOVE reading aloud to my class. Storytime allows me to model fluency, expression, and my own love of reading.
I am requesting books that are considered The Best Picture Books of 2021.
These books will continue to enhance our extensive classroom library. Our classroom library is a place that my students enjoy. They are able to get comfy in bean bag chairs and read! Recently they have renamed the reading area the "living room" because it truly has that homey feel. All of these books are chosen with my students' various interests in mind. Nothing is better than snuggling up with a good book.
