My Project
My students enjoy a read aloud daily using books written by our favorite author and illustrator, Mo Willems. We use these books to discuss social skills, characters, setting, problem, solution, what an author and illustrator is, and finally to build their love of reading. These familiar characters are a class favorite.
By sharing these books with my students, they will be able to bridge their learning in school to their home life, by being able to read these familiar stories with their families. My students will be able to share their literacy foundational skills with their families as they read these books at home and showcase all they are learning at school with their family at home.
