Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Recently I received 4 bean bags chairs for my classroom and what a difference it has made with my students. They are so excited to find a quiet space to work. They are also more willing to sit and read independently and with partners.
This flexible seating has really increased my students' interest in reading.
It also has given them the opportunity to make responsible decisions about their own learning by finding a comfortable space to work. I would like to add more seating to my classroom so that they can continue to work and grow. Right now they take turns, but if we added a few more choices, I know that they will learn to collaborate with others.
