My students need a listening center to help improve reading fluency and word identification. They also need the math visual aids to improve their overall math skills.

My Students

My students come to school everyday eager and ready to learn but they experience some educational challenges. I am working on getting them to come in each day with the attitude that "I can do this even if it takes me a little longer to get there."

My students are the best in the world.

I personally get to know my students a little better than most because I will have them for multiple years. I teach students in a Learning Support setting and they range in age from 6-10. We are lucky because our school is a small little family where all of the kids know you and you know them.

My Project

The listening center and CD player will allow my students to work independently while I continue to teach my small groups. They will be able to experience literature on their grade level not just their educational level. This will help my students gain the independence that they so desperately need in order to continue to grow educationally and emotionally.

If we receive the donations requested, my students will be able to read stories that would not be able to do on their own.

My students will hopefully gain the confidence needed to tackle reading books that they never thought that they would be able to read.
