Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My 20 third graders mostly come from low-income homes that have not had the opportunities that other children have had. I would like to have a microscope in the classroom so that each student will be able to explore and learn through observation and make comparisons of various materials. This is an extremely useful tool for each student to use to gather information that otherwise would not be available to them. They can then analyze it and gain knowledge from their own hands-on experience about the world they live in. The microscope will be used by all my students throughout the school year as they become better scientists.
