Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is self-contained. My students have issues with reading, writing and math and some behavioral as well. They have the desire to learn but need extra assistance to reach their goals. I set reasonable achievable goals and work with my students until they feel strong and confident.
Watching my class feel supported while they learn is my ultimate goal.
Their self-esteem and daily life progression is very important to me as an educator.
My Project
My students do all of their work in the classroom. They need support to complete work and constant reassurance and motivation. In the classroom, they are supported and taught to work independently. They learn to monitor their behavior and are rewarded daily for working hard and being kind to each other. These tools will help my students become more independent and feel confident enough to work alone. Once a student feels supported and confident they can achieve anything they want.These tools will allow them to feel that they are cared about.
