My Project
This is my first year teaching 2nd grade and I'm so excited to help and watch these kids grow and be excited about school. We are a new school with a diverse group of backgrounds including many ELL students but with limited resources.
I want to give my students the basics they need to be successful and thrive in the classroom.
The items I've asked for will help with classroom basics like pencils and glue sticks. I've asked for phonics and ESL manipulatives to help everyone become better readers. I want them to love to READ so I've asked for graphic novels that will engage their minds and take them on adventures. These books and manipulatives will be utilized by students year after year.
Having a Teacher-Pay-Teacher gift card will allow me to purchase resources to enhance my lessons and make them more engaging for my students. I use the whiteboard along with my students so having markers that work makes learning fun.
