Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher from a Title I district. This means that I have very little funds to be able to provide materials for my students in the classroom. My students are eager learners ready to develop their understanding in the reading classroom. This project deals more with technology that includes an iPad, Apple TV, and a Apple Pencil.

In my classroom, and school, we utilize an program called Amplify.

This website has many different learning techniques for students from visual, hearing, and kinetic learning. However students become very bored from just looking at my screen, so I would like to have it become available where they can utilize the program from their seats. This is where the iPad from this project comes in handy. The iPad would allow me to teach the lessons from the website to the students while being able to ask them to complete the activities from the iPad. This would get the students excited and a bit more motivated to learn, as this generation is a bit more tech savvy than other generations before. Another example of an item that could help my students on improving their learning, is the Apple TV. The Apple TV will help me to project the website and activities for the students to see, without this item there would be a bit more of a difficult time for the students to see all together the material from the lesson.
