My Project
The flexible seating pillows, chairs, wobble seats and more will allow my students to move as they need. My class is an inclusion 1st grade room. These students need to move and be able to stay on task. The different seating options will allow this to happen.
The emotional classroom items are used to help the students process their feelings.
I work at a military base school. The students deal with constant changes and parents leaving. The emotional board, book, sensory items and more will allow the students to show how they are feeling when maybe they don’t know how to say it. I want to give them the chance to learn to communicate that in a healthy way. When that is hard to do, I want them to have fidgets or items to allow them time to calm down to talk.
The organizational items will allow the students to learn how to be organized. Being taught at a young age to put things where they belong, to store things in specific areas, and to clean up after themselves allows them to become productive adults. I want to ensure these children of military families have the best options to learn to handle their emotions with constant life changes, along with staying organized in the process.
