I teach a fabulous group of students who are inspiring, motivating and fun to teach. They are the future readers, writers, mathematicians, computer analysts, engineers, artists and musicians of the world.
I teach in a large, diverse, K-8, high poverty school, in an urban area of Philadelphia that experiences crime.
Our school receives Title I funding, and the entire school is eligible for free breakfast and lunch. The students are from various living situations such as single parents, foster homes or extended family living. Their learning environment at home may be crowded, noisy, and experience a lack of supplies. I have very limited resources to teach online with them.
My students have a variety of learning abilities and disabilities including Special Education, ADD, ADHD, vision impairment, and English as a Second Language. Especially while they are learning at home, I am dedicated to meeting their needs daily, along with building their self-esteem and confidence.
My Project
Now that my students' online learning is increasing, so is the need for online resources. With these Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards, I would be able to purchase engaging interactive activities for my students to use in their Google Classroom.
These resources will help meet the need of each individual student, as well as provide them with engaging and rigorous material!
TPT is a place where creative teachers come together and share their ideas for various units, projects for distance learning, technology adaptations as well as learning in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
With going full distance learning, these resources will help benefit my students at home and will help them gain a deeper understanding of the skills and lessons that they would be learning in a normal class setting.
