This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Art serves as a universal language in my classroom where my students, including those from refugee and immigrant backgrounds, showcase their unique skills and creativity. Despite facing academic challenges, many of my students find solace and success in the realm of art. Art allows them to shine and fully immerse themselves in creativity.
Witnessing my youngest students' passion and growth is immensely gratifying; they eagerly embrace opportunities to explore and experiment with various mediums and projects.
Ensuring they have access to essentials like markers and colored pencils is crucial for nurturing their artistic journeys. Additionally, I aim to introduce liquid watercolors and provide spray bottles to encourage further creativity and experimentation.
