My Project

I am writing this project to help my students organize and learn the meaning of being compassionate. One of the activities my students will put in their binders is: My students will write a letter to a friend about an upsetting situation they are facing or may face in the future, like moving to a new school, missing a pet, or losing a championship sports game. Next they will draft what a good friend would say in response to that letter.

I will read the student's point of view letter and their response letter to measure their level of understanding on how to be compassionate.

This compassion activity helps students understand the age-old concept Treat Others How You’d Like to Be Treated.

With these binders, my students will have access to their compassion resources at any time.
