This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my students love to read in the Library. Now that the winter is coming, sitting too close to the floor is not as comfortable as it was in the Fall. Adding a nice thick padding on top and a blanket would make any child feel comfortable and warm.
This shelf is the perfect height for my 3 year olds to sit comfortably and read their favorite books.
Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating.
They almost always make good choices about where they sit and are more engaged when the choice is theirs.
