My Project
As a behavior analyst, I use various evidence-based methodologies to work with students that have behavioral concerns. Students sometimes require support being able to identify their emotions and use alternative behaviors to their maladaptive behaviors. Teaching students how to state when they are sad, upset, frustrated, or need help can reduce classroom disruptions significantly.
All students will benefit from being provided resources on their emotions and talking about how they are feeling.
Talking about specific experiences or situations in the classroom that are triggering to students will help to work through these situations and identify various solutions that would be beneficial to the student.
