This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having books at and just above your reading level helps to build confidence in reading. It provides enough challenge while still making a child feel good about their abilities and accomplishments.
Having 7 sets of these 60 leveled readers will allow me to work with small groups to help my children improve their reading and feel proud of their achievements.
The set of books in this grant are leveled A, B, C, and D. These books are perfect for my students that are English Language Learners and also for my low readers. I plan to work with small groups and build their confidence with the high frequency words found in these books.
