My Students
Our Norfolk, Virginia PreK students are amazing and resilient! We are located in a dedicated military town. All students have risk factors that qualify them for our program. I see the sparkle in their eyes when they log in to the computer. Distance teaching is challenging, but with hands-on materials, we can help them thrive!
My Project
At the beginning of the year, students are excited to use new materials. We need basic supplies such as drawing journals and crayons for new Pre-K students to begin attempts at drawing and writing. Having these drawing journals and crayons will show a progression of learning throughout the year. It is a great source for documentation.
Having special items for individual use gives our students ownership in the classroom.
The stickers, crowns, and name tags will help our students feel a sense of belonging and celebrate each child as an individual.
