My Project
Students learning English when first coming to this country need something they can relate to. Providing books in Spanish along with games that encourage fun and laughter, allow the students to participate in a safe atmosphere. Learning through play is a big motivator.
By seeing the text both in their own language and English helps reinforce comprehension, syntax, and semantics.
Having these resources in class will help build our classroom library and provide a more beneficial way to spend learning time when finished with assignments. Interacting with text provides a challenging, yet entertaining way to learn English.
