At my school we have a high percentage of students who receive free/reduced lunch. In these economically challenging times, parents are working more than one job to support their families. This makes it hard for them to find time to teach their children some of the basic skills necessary to be a success in school. Many of my students have not been to a pre-k program and have never been exposed to the joy of learning. I can tell them all they need to know, but if they are not able practice and explore on their own they will not retain the necessary skills.
My Project
Bee-Bots are colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robots that introduce coding to kids while having fun. Students will use the command cards and work collaboratively to plan out Bee-Bot's program and then press GO to see the robot follow up to 40 commands.
STEM is an important subject and it is never too early to learn the basic concepts and skills.
The Bee-Bots are a fun way to build those skillsets.
The docking station will make sure our rechargeable robots are always charged and ready to use. The Bee-Bots will be used in my classroom in whole lesson as well as corporative learning centers. Bee-bots are the perfect tool for teaching any subject and practicing many skills in a Kindergarten classroom.
