Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books being requested will help to expand our current classroom library. These books will be read during reader's workshop and will be borrowed to be brought home to read at night, on weekends, and during vacations. I've selected a variety of texts in hope to capture the minds and imaginations of all the students in my classroom. I have also selected some books with characters who may look like some of my students or have simliar experiences as them. With these books, students will have a wider variety of texts to choose from, will expand their reading horizons, increase their background knowledge, and continue to support their growth of a love for reading that will hopefully last them a lifetime!

It is extremely important that I provide my students with as many chances in my classroom as possible to experience quality children's books.

By donating these items to my classroom, students will be able to enjoy and learn from these books in a variety of ways. You will help them build a lifetime love of reading!
