This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will use all of the supplies that I am requesting before, during, and after the STAAR Test. On a daily basis my students are preparing for the STAAR Test. One way in which they are preparing is using paper and pencils to construct their extended constructed responses. They must write their drafts on paper first and then submit it in the computer for grading.
During the STAAR Test, my students will definitely use paper, pencils, and pink erasers!
During the STAAR Test, my students will use paper to write their answers to each question and an explanation of their answers on their "Think Sheets". They will need paper and pencils to create and complete their "Think Sheets". They will also need the pink erasers because somehow the erasers on the pencils disappear after a 5th-grade student erases one time.
After STAAR testing I plan to let my students unwind and explore their creative side with a few art projects. They will definitely use colored pencils and markers to show their creative side.
