My Project

Hello there! I am currently a third grade science teacher at our school in Washington, D.C. My scholars are some of the brightest in the city! We like to make science fun and engaging by participating in hands-on learning labs to understand real-life concepts!

Let's get up to code with Edison Robots!

According to Edison, "the Edison robot is a powerful, engaging tool for teaching kids STEM, computational thinking and computer programming in a hands-on way. Robots bring computer science to life." Edison Robots set themselves apart from other programs because each scholar will get to develop their own code for their own robot. Scholars will develop many different skills as they persevere through different challenges. Scholars will learn coding, engineering, problem solving, and are encouraged to use creativity. The materials in this project will help scholars get started with Edison's robotics program. Developing these skills will allow scholars to become productive, successful citizens in the future!
