This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My library services 500 students in both regular and bilingual classes. They love reading, coding, adventure, and learning. Whether it's through recommending them their next favorite book, teaching them a new robot move, or the excitement of a new invention, I try to make the library a sanctuary of exploration and inspiration.

Our students are curious and energetic young minds looking for opportunities to be readers, creators, and inventors.

Our elementary school is one of the largest elementary schools in our school district. We are a Title I school and over half of our students come from low-income homes, which means they often don't have the opportunities and resources available to higher-income families.

My Project

These three robots will be used in the library to help students connect to parts of a story, retelling and creating their own stories. Bee-bots are designed for primary elementary students to be able to use to code movements and programs.

Connecting literature with technology is a powerful tool.

Students love coming to the library to see what exciting things are awaiting them as we explore some of the world's best stories. These Bee-bots will help us do just that. Thank you for your consideration and for helping us build and grow our library program.
