My students need maps for making connections with letters, attributes, numbers and subtilizing by using Bee-Bots that will introduce them to the world of coding.
Kindergarten is like a breath of fresh air each day. My students arrive with smiles on their faces ready to engage. We play & begin to pursue ideas that we are curious about. We collaborate through new ideas & are always sharing what we learn globally.
I have the privilege and pleasure of teaching Kindergarten.
I am most grateful for the inspiration and positive energy that my students bring to Kindergarten each day. My school supports innovation and creativity. We use Twitter, Seesaw and Kidblog as platforms to share, connect and reflect on our learning.
We care about each other and the world. We care about making a difference for others globally and in our community.
We love learning and Kindergarten. We use a lot of technology to engage, enhance, enrich and share with others. We play each day with joy, laughter and excitement. We are very mathematical and scientific thinkers too. Learning is for everyone. Technology gives us all a voice.
My Project
My students spend a great deal of time creating and designing their ideas throughout the day, using a variety of materials. Bee Bots will give them an opportunity to collaborate together to solve problems and think critically together. In Kindergarten we work hard on learning to follow directions and share our ideas in positive, meaningful ways. Bee Bots will give us opportunities to do this while also weaving in some of the skills we are working on. This way we will be able to build on our successes and take new risks with our ideas.
My students will also be learning the beginning stages of how to code and why it is important. Our future depends on young people to get inspired to use code to create and design big ideas to help solve world problems like hunger and poverty. I want to offer my students endless ways to engage with scientific ideas using a variety of tools that offer collaboration, critical thinking and collaboration. These skills will make a difference globally.
This project will give my students opportunities to collaborate and engage to solve problems.
Working collaboratively to get from one place to another using Bee Bots is the beginning stages of learning how code can help make learning fun. Our world is changing quickly and coding will be a necessary experience for my students to have and be able to do. My students will be able to think critically and learn how to solve problems though their collaboration.
