Bee Basics Part 1

We are respectfully requesting funding for two starter kits, two adult sized bee suits, and two feeders.

My Students

Our school system is focused on our children, our community, and our future. We strive to provide an outstanding curriculum, superb faculty and staff, award-winning programs, dedicated athletic and academic teams, and a vibrant community that supports the school system.

Most of our students come from low-income families.

With that being said, their exposure to technology, other than phones, is very limited. I teach six hours of STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Through my class, I try to give students a head start to being successful adults.

My Project

“If the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live.” - Einstein.

With the decline of the bee population, ie, colony collapse disorder, W.

High School would like to involve our students in the raising and care of two hives to be located at our local high school.

This project would be open to the already established agriculture class and also open to those students who show an interest in environmental sciences and preservation.

We are respectfully requesting funding for two starter kits, two adult sized bee suits, and two feeders.
