My students need an Apple iPad and Apple Pencil to begin exploring the world of Digital Art.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Olson's classroom raised $584

My Students
My students are engaging and challenging. They have a thirst to learn the new and exciting and create something different and defining. Yet, they are held back by the resources available to them. Many work on creating art outside of the classroom using what they can find on their own. Whether it is youtube tutorials, free software for their personal electronic devices, or as much blank paper as they can find somewhere to draw on with whatever writing utensil they can get their hands on. These are constantly working to define what art is to them and find their own voices as artists.
My Project
My students are interested in learning about digital art. I am requesting an Apple iPad and an Apple Pencil. Apple has a number of high quality FREE apps for art in their app store and the use of the Apple Pencil will give students accurate control over the lines and shapes they are creating as they explore the digital art world. Many free digital art programs are merely free coloring books. With the use of the iPad and Apple Pencil my students will have the opportunity to learn to draw, paint, and create in the digital medium. Students will be doing things like, creating digital badges, t shirt designs, comic books and painting landscapes like a Digital Bob Ross.
