Help me give my students writing journals so they can grow to love writing!

My Students
Loving, caring, passionate about learning...these are just a few words that describe my amazing fourth graders. These children have a passion for life and a love for the world they live in. They are always first to lend a hand or encourage a classmate.
At school, our class is like a family and throughout the year we get the chance to learn and grow from one another.
Many of my students come in each year far below grade level in reading and math. As their teacher, I want to make sure they have access to the best resources possible that can help them achieve their goals and feel like empowered learners.
My Project
These writing prompt journals from Lakeshore Learning will be an amazing resource to my students! Coming back from virtual learning will be a transition especially with writing. In fourth grade, students should be able to write at least 4 paragraphs.
My goal is to help them feel more confident in their abilities and grow to love writing.
These journals will help build my students' skills with the included checklists, examples, and scaffolded pages. They will explore opinion, narrative, and informative writing in prompts that are provided. Students can easily go step by step in the writing process without feeling overwhelmed.
We can use these as a whole class, in a small group, and even independently as students work to become skilled writers.
