My Students

I am so excited to welcome a brand new group of second-grade students next year. I know they are looking forward to moving to the "big kid" school, and I am looking forward to greeting each of them on back to school night.

Our small rural community serves about 200 second graders, many of whom live below the poverty line.

This means that school is an important place for them. I strive to provide a loving environment that enriches their drive to learn. I find that the second graders who join my classroom come with a thirst for knowledge and an excitement for learning.

My Project

Students in my second grade classroom are striving to become fact masters! They are working hard to improve their fact fluency and master all of the addition and subtraction facts from 0-10!

These hard working second graders need new challenges in their quest to master all of their facts!

Hot Dots provides an engaging opportunity to practice both addition and subtraction facts. We all know that the more you practice something the better you become. Hot Dots will entice students to engage in necessary daily practice!

Clear pockets with timers will help students to take their practice to the next level by giving them the opportunity to time themselves to see how fast they can work through their facts.
