This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Paper and pencil tasks are boring. I am trying to bring more excitement and hands-on activities to my first grade classroom.

I teach 22 first graders at a school in San Jose, California.

Most of my students qualify for free or reduced price lunch and most are also classified as English language learners. My students love coming to school and are always excited to learn something new, especially when it is hands-on.

My Project

My students need a Jr. Architect Builders Master Set and a Magna-Tiles Master Set. They will be able to use the Jr. Architect Builders set to follow directions and build fun things like towers, fans, and cars. This will help improve their engineering skills and improve their abilities to read and follow directions. I know my students will love the Magna-Tiles set. They will be able to use this set to improve their engineering and architecture skills. This set will allow them to use their creativity to create different structures. I look forward to seeing the students work with their classmates to create wonderful and amazing structures.

You donation will bring fun, excitement, and creativity to my classroom.

I know that the students will learn so much about engineering and architecture as they make different creations. It will also mean so much to them that a kind person that doesn't even know them took the time to support them. Thank you so much for caring about my students!
