My Project

As an avid pursuer of learning and a Special Education teacher, it is time for me to begin my goal of earning a Master of Science in Special Education. I am asking for your support in covering the tuition for my first term in the program.

Beginning a Master's in Special Education (K-12) will take my understanding of the profession I love to a higher level and add new skills to my professional tool belt when working with students who have diverse learning needs.

The journey begins with two courses: 6100 and 6110. SPED 6100 - Programming and Management is a three-credit class that 3 Credit "provides an overview of the service patterns, management needs, organizational variables, and instructional models necessary for success with students with mild/moderate disabilities". The second course for this term is SPED 6110 - History and Law 3 as three credits and deepens my understanding of "the role of federal, state, and local governments in special education issues with an emphasis on case and regulatory law. Focus will be placed on how the IDEA impacts education."

These courses and others will be completed during my first term. Though they might not sound thrilling, they thrill me to the core as they provide new ways to reach the minds and hearts of an ever-expanding group of unique learners.

I am ready to take on this challenge and become a “master” at my craft. I commit to utilizing the knowledge and skills gained to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my students and their families.
