The students in my classroom this year are eager to know more. My goal is to give them different experiences and knowledge that brings them out of their comfort zone. Bringing them outside of their comfort zone will help them understand themselves more by learning new strategies or experiencing different or new materials that can help them be successful.
Bringing the students outside their comfort zone of the books they tend to gravitate to, will help them see other books are enjoyable and it will help grow their brains.
If the students in the classroom are able to have their own class book in their hand, they will be able to follow along while the teacher or classmates are reading out loud. It will help them stay focused and help them build their imagination as they read.
The flexible seating wobble chairs will be used during small group work with the teacher or if a student needs something different to sit on to help them focus on their work independently.
The rainbow cart is to help with organization in the classroom. It will be used as a “student cart” where the students are welcome to supplies they need during activities.
