Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my school express themselves through the arts. As an English teacher, I always tend to receive work from students with doodles/drawings along the margins of the paper. I keep hearing about the Cricut machine and how wonderful it is. The school is in the process of receiving a Cricut machine. I would like the supplies provided so that I can be creative with my lesson, worksheets, and decor around the classroom, essentially to beautify the environment.
Having the needed supplies for the Circuit machine will help me immensely because the students will benefit from the resources to create flyers, make t-shirts, create labels for classroom activities and projects.
When I teach "The Kite Runner" I have the students make kites and use the symbolic reference on the significance of what it means in the text. At the end of the unit the students can use the materials/resources to create their own unique kites. Please help us obtain a heat press, Cricut gel pens and heat vinyl transfer.
