This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Literacy is important in any language. In a dual immersion program, both languages are very important. Space and organization is an issue in any class, but in my classroom it is vital to separate the different languages.
This donation will help me purchase furniture to enhance the different languages and make them easily accessible for my students.
One shelf will be dedicated to English language literature and the other shelf will be dedicated to Spanish literature. The separate shelves make our classroom space more organized and beautiful in addition to helping those students who need some extra help (special needs) an opportunity to independently choose literature appropriate for them specifically.
