Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Spanish at a Title I high school in the Los Angeles area. More than 70% of our students qualify for free lunch. My students enjoy learning Spanish through different sources besides the textbook. They enjoy the different technology applications that we use in class.

My Project

Having a suitable learning environment for students is very important. Most of the students are visual learners and having additional resources throughout the classroom posted on the walls is just as important as using visuals as teachers present the lesson. Now that students came back after a year and a half of learning at home, being in a classroom that feels welcoming is extremely important. The decorative paper and borders will help me create an environment where students feel welcomed. Students will take part of the classroom decoration as it is for them and for what makes them feel it will help them focus in class.
