Beautiful Blackbird Inspired Mural for School Hallway

Help me give my students acrylic paints and brushes to create a large mural in the school.

My Project

My students come from many different cultures and backgrounds, including many immigrant families. This diversity is what makes our school community so special. This mural celebrates all of our students and lets them know that we all belong here.

The students will use wall space in our hallway to paint a mural as a way to brighten up their experience in our school, not only with beautiful colors, but with a beautiful message.

The mural is inspired by Coretta Scott King Award winner Ashley Bryan's book about appreciating one's heritage and discovering the beauty within. Black is beautiful, uh-huh!
