My Project

Study, research, plan, build... In our 1st grade science curriculum we study birds and their habitats with a local community non profit. We offer education outside the classroom by visiting various places around our town, watching birds, and learning about their habitat. We have always talked about doing a culminating project together.

Why not build something for the birds and beautify our school grounds at the same time?

My students will love the hands on experience supported by parent and community volunteers. Each child will take home a DIY birdhouse and we will make birdbaths for the school grounds.
